418587: I'm fairly certain this bug was introduced during some of the
changes to the device plumbing for the PDF 1.4 rendering. It's first
on my list of bugs to fix once I get my desk cleared of patent work.

418597: This is a case of bitmapped text for which GS is not
positioning the characters correctly. I believe Alex has looked at
this, but no followup is posted.

418845: Another user who has tripped over the poor defaults for the
JPEG compression parameters. This is also on my list of things to look
at, but if somebody else wants to, feel free.

418928: A rendering bug introduced between 6.50 and 7.00. Alex
believes this may be related to 418587. When I fix '587, I'll
certainly check this test file as well.

419211: Incorrect DSC comments can cause processing to halt. I'm
generally in favor of making GS more tolerant in these situations, and
also feel that there should be a mechanism for reporting
incorrectnesses in input files.

419810: GS behaves differently with a broken PDF file than Acro. Dan
followed up very well with the diagnosis of the broken file.

419821: I think this is a duplicate of '810. We should feel free to
close it if there is no followup soon.

420257: Transfer function is not applied. This is a known issue with
GS. Now we see a customer file that triggers the problem. I agree we
should fix this now.
