Sorry I didn't get this report out yesterday.

420431: This is a type3 positioning error. It could be the same bug as
420679 and 418597, which also affects positioning of bitmap fonts.

420504: This also looks like a pdfwrite positioning problem, but in
this case, the bug is much harder to reproduce - it seems to be a
library dependency. Let's see if we can fix the other positioning
bugs, and see if this goes away.

420675: Duplicate of 419821, has the sample file. (analysis by Alex)

420679: This seems like a classic instance of the type3 positioning
bug, very similar symptoms as 418597.

420933: kshow problem with pdfwrite driver. Proposed fix in code
review needs revision:

http://www.ghostscript.com/pipermail/gs-code-review/2001-May/000644.html

421057: The bug report says that the file causes GS to go into an
infinite loop in the GC, but there is no file attached to the bug.
Alex, can you attach the file?

421058: The PDF file is broken, and GS fails with an error message.
The behavior of GS is within bounds of correctness, but it would still
be nice to make it more tolerant of what it accepts. The project is
already listed in Projects.htm, so I think the bug can be closed.

421313: User complains PDF writing doesn't work. The bug report
doesn't contain enough detail. Alex asked for an example file.

421931: Cannot find DLL. Likely user error. Followup by Jack asks for
more info.

422089: Coredump converting Type1 pattern. Analysis by Jack suggests
that the pdfwrite driver can't handle null patterns, causing a null
pointer dereference.

It looks like quite a number of users are running into the type3
posititioning bug. Other than that, it looks like a fairly average
week.
