[Gs-devel] Output to a Deskjet 882C under Linux?

Does anyone know if this is possible? I downloaded the RPMs for gs5.5
from HP's site, and installed it, and when I run gs --help, it lists
the available drivers as:

   pjxl300 pjetxl cdj850 cdj670 cdj880 cdj890 cdj1600 hpdj lex2050

but this doesn't list the 882c. Anyway, I tried it like this:

$ gs -sDEVICE=cdj880 /usr/share/ghostscript/5.50/examples/tiger.ps
GNU Ghostscript 5.50 (2000-2-13)

details.
>>showpage, press <return> to continue<<

and the printer doesn't react at all. When I run the same command,
but without specifying the device, it displays the image correctly
under X windows, so I know that gs itself works.

This is all under Linux Mandrake 8.0.

Has anyone gotten an HP DJ882c to work with any version of gs? This
would be amazingly cool, but it would also be pretty surprising if it
actually worked.

Thanks for any tips
