Sounds like a good idea. We might want add a note to docs about this
recommending wiping the cache file on font updates. The only failure
mode I can think of is if a cached file is replaced by another with a
new fontname, but it's likely to be quite confusing if it happens.
I'd also suggest GS_FONTMAP_CACHE instead of GS_SCANNED_FONTMAP.
