[gs-devel] Trouble building GS shared object

I am trying to build the Ghostscript shared object and associated
"gsc" program. I have linked makefile -> src/unix-gcc.mak and
run "make so" after successfully building gs itself. What happens is
chaos% make so
make CFLAGS='-O2 -fPIC -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-declarations -Wmissing-prototypes -fno-builtin -fno-common ' prefix=/usr/local ./bin/../sobin/gsc ./bin/../sobin/gsx
make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/h/hswan/import/ghostscript-8.00'
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `bin/../sobin/gsc'. Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/h/hswan/import/ghostscript-8.00'
make: *** [so] Error 2
My machine name is "chaos" and I am running Sparc Solaris 2.8, GNU
make 3.80, gcc 3.0.3 and GNU loader version 2.13.1. I am trying to
build gsc version 8.00. (This worked for Ghostscript 7.05.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more information,
please let me know.
